As part of my work to support promotion for the Data Science Summer Institute at LLNL, I pitched the idea of developing a student video series with a "behind-the-scenes" vibe. Students want to hear from other students, so being able to capture their perspective felt like the right way to go to ensure another year of strong applications. We promoted these across social platform, and achieved over 2,000 applications. Below are glimpses from the LinkedIn posts shared from our ma

The edtech company had a preliminary tool when I got there which they called an ROI calculator. After looking at it, I realized that was incorrect as we were really only showing savings so I renamed it as a savings calculator. We wanted to test it out before putting in development time to create an actual calculator. The number from the form was sent via Zapier to a spreadsheet which spit out the numbers for me. I then used the number to create an actual report that sales was

As part of a state-level GTM approach, we created state landing pages which we tried to make as comprehensive and useful as possible. The pages included state-specific blog posts, state stats, our sales contacts for that state, and testimonials and case studies we had for the state. We also customized the chatbot for the page to make it relevant for the state.

For this year's Girls in ICT Day, I helped our field marketing team by developing all the organic social posts. This included developing the message pillars, writing original content, and providing direction for the graphics. Content and graphics are shared below. In addition, I was responsible for putting together the campaign site, developing all the content and wireframe and working with the developers to update.

Cisco NetAcad has a strong partnership with an organization called Manpower, and this relationship helps support our mission of taking students from "skills to jobs" as Manpower works to place people in fulfilling jobs in the tech industry. In Q1 of FY23, the two organizations collaborated on a local job fair in North Carolina. My role on this project was to develop the registration page and manage the email workflow in Marketo, as well as develop the content for the nurture.

For Cybersecurity Month 2022, our Field Marketing team wanted to take advantage of this time to provide education on cyber topics and to encourage enrollment for our cybersecurity courses. The campaign work started with setting clear goals, developing messages, and creating a project plan/timeline. After planning, the first thing I did was work with the agency to develop the brand identity for the campaign. Some of the original content I developed for the campaign included a

Here are some example emails I have developed for the tech companies I worked for: Email 1: Incident IQ [First Name], If you found a magical lamp, what would your first genie wish be? Most Michigan educators would probably wish for more time to support students. And most other district members, including your IT department, would probably wish for more financial resources for the same purpose. Students need district resources and uninterrupted learning time now more than ever

At Incident IQ, I led content strategy for our campaign team, taking topics that were relevant to our audience and developing collateral around it. The lead magnet below is one that I developed entirely on my own and then worked with our Creative Director to develop into an attractive piece we could use on the website, with our email marketing, as a lead gen tool for a quiz we developed on the Interact platform, and for our sales team to share with prospects.

Record-Breaking Savannah Mitchell Dominates GAC Pool Time is something that is constantly on Savannah Mitchell’s mind. There’s the time she wakes up in the morning to make her 5:15 training practices; the time she needs to stay alert to do well in her AP courses; and the personal best times which she trains hard to beat. For this senior, you could say that time is everything, and something she never wastes. Savannah is relatively new to GAC. She transitioned last year from an

When you ask a question, you never know where the answer will lead. That becomes very apparent in talking with the students in Derek Wilson’s Capstone course. Students in this rigorous post-AP class take on the most challenging course available at GAC, one that prepares them to think and work as college students. They are required to think creatively, going beyond summarizing research to finding their voice and making their own discoveries in the process. Focused on the inter

GAC Earns Global Recognition for AP Exam Scores To get a top score on an AP exam — a 5 on the 5-point scale — is a significant achievement that often enables students to get college credit. To get a perfect score is a rare occurrence. Out of over 300,000 students around the world who took the AP Government exam last May, only 113 got every answer right. Greater Atlanta Christian School in Norcross, Georgia boasts two of these students: Jack Hollier and Victoria Huynh. AP Gove

How much farther would you be in your career if you had discovered what you wanted to do earlier in life? How would it have impacted your time in college? For GAC, these questions have led to the development of a unique opportunity, the Summer Fellowship Program, which provides students with real-world experience in an industry of their choice. Students gain valuable insight into careers under the guidance of mentors who are invested in their development. Led by GAC Director

Do you remember the wonder you felt as a child? When a cardboard box held endless possibilities and each star in the sky fired your imagination? We often associate wonder with childhood because it is a feeling of looking at something for the first time. Humans were created for wonder, and our teachers in our Village and Elementary School want students to experience it every day, particularly with their STEAM curriculum. Says STEAM Director Tom Meeker: “There is no expectatio

The start of every school year isn’t anything like the courtroom scene Mary Lynn Huett had mastered after law school, or even the legal services department she ran later on for a national trade association. No, it’s usually a jury of 20 restless high school teenagers who have signed up for her honors chemistry or AP chemistry course. This is the kind of jury she loves most. It’s what invigorates her about teaching and gives meaning to her work. “I genuinely like high school

I have had the incredible privilege to run an integrated, multi-channel campaign for GAC Sync, a new learning model developed by GACS, a premier private school in Atlanta. This new model is turning the K-12 education space on its head in an industry-disruptive move and it's just an amazing time to be a part of this mission-driven organization. I want to use this campaign to illustrate an important marketing skill which is the ability to take your main brand message and transl

This is a plan that I proposed to our leadership for an integrated marketing campaign for 2019-21. We have slowly been implementing all of the elements which I outline in detail below. Reasons to Revamp GAC Marketing Based on the Board’s recommendation, GAC is interested in making a significantly larger investment in marketing. This effort is intended to be focused (hence microtargeting) and data-driven, leveraging the best of marketing tools available to increase lead genera

I was tasked with creating a compelling script for a video about our latest product offering at GAC. You can read the script below. I will add the video once I have it. __ Education has been slow to change. That’s why, at GAC, we’re leading the way with an industry-shifting model built on choice and flexibility. We have implemented Synchronous Learning for all our students from K through 12. Powered by innovation, this learning model gives our students the opportunity to be a

Byline originally published in Suwanee Magazine . It’s that time of year when seniors are busy putting the final touches on their college applications. With a simple click, they’ll hit “submit” on the culmination of years of preparation. For their fellow underclassmen, it’s never too early to think about your “next step.” As your time to apply is still a little time away, Greater Atlanta Christian School’s Counseling Office has tips to help you plan ahead and strengthen your

Originally published in GACS Today 2019 Issue . CHOICE IS POWERFUL. It can be paralyzing or life-giving because the choices we make shape the direction that our lives take. On a small, everyday scale, we face choices everywhere — research shows that adults make approximately 35,000 ‘remotely conscious’ choices each day (226.7 on food alone). Significantly more meaningful are the choices we make for our children, particularly related to their education. We have unprecedented n
